We went to the meeting this morning.
The Dr. was very nice. I felt at ease with her. She explained the testing, and what tests were done. She is certain that she has ADHD but she was to defer the diagnosis til she's in school (since the behaviors have to be in 2 settings and she only goes 2x's a week). She suggested starting medications and doing behavior management, because she believes that she could fall behind if we don't intervene now.
Some of her results were skewed due to her impulsivity. She is really low on fine motor skills, but average on most things. She did however say she is in the high average for prelearning skills, which is good.
So, she gave us some strategies to work on with her. I asked her about her defiance and you would find a high level of defiance with kids with ADHD.
Anyway, that's pretty much it.
