    I'm Glad They're Mine Too

The life of a SAHM with twin boys and a 4 year old little girl.

    Good evening!

Our weekend was good! Brandon and Karla came over. Brandon and Bill went out to see the UFC fight, and Karla and I stayed home with the kiddos. Rented a movie, and it was fun! Just like old times.

This past week went by pretty fast! The boys had a well child check on Wed. Ronin is back on the growth chart for weight (first percentile). He had been off of it for awhile. He's in the 55th pecentile for height. I don't remember the percentile for his noggin. Ryker is on the 3rd percentile for weight, 39th percentile for height, and 90th percentile for his noggin. Unfortunately, they both had ear infections. She is happy that I am still breastfeeding but felt like they needed whole milk as a supplementation. However, I disagree. For one, breastmilk has more fat in it. Also, no matter how much they eat, or how much fat I put in their food, they are going to be small. I found this out with Kalynn. I was always worried because she has always been small. I tried adding more fat, but it didn't and still doesn't work. But, Bill's small. Kalynn's small. The boys are going to be small even though they eat like piglets. But other than that, they are doing great!

The Dr. is still concerned that Ryker isn't walking. She said she'd call the NF clinic to see if they can get him an MRI of the spine to see if his spinal cord is tethered.

Speaking of the NF clinic, they are GREAT. They agreed that Ryker does need more therapy and once a month will not cut it. So the Drs at the NF Clinic are going to write a letter about getting him more therapy. Hopefully, he'll be able to get more. The reason why his therapy got cut was because funding was cut. So, we'll see!!

Today, Kalynn was sick. She had been complaining that her ear hurt. So, we got her some Amoxicillin. She has NEVER had an ear infection so she's never had to take this antibiotic. So, I gave it to her this morning and shortly thereafter, she got sick to her stomach. She puked and then slept the entire day. So, I'm thinking it was the Amoxicillin. I don't know if it's an allergic reaction or just a side effect. Needless to say, I won't be giving her anymore.

Anyway, not much else is going on. With that being said, I'm gone! Adios!

To bad about Kalynn's ear infection. I hope it gets better soon. It is good that the boys are growing well and back on the charts. I also hope the money for the continued therapy comes through. Good luck with it all.

PS, thanks for the diaper information. When the baby was born, we had so many people give us diapers as a gift, I'm still using those. When those run out, I want to switch to cloth.

Sucks about the ear infections. It sounds like things are good otherwise, though!

How old is Ryker now? Julian couldn't be bothered to walk until he was about 15-16 months old, as best as I recall. Not that he couldn't, he just couldn't be bothered. He scooted around on his butt instead. LOL So hopefully that's all it is, but if the NF clinic thinks it's a good idea to have Ryker checked out, it can't hurt. I hope more therapy is available - sucks that the funding was cut.
