Thanks Molly!!! I can't believe they're one!
Today was their one year Dr's appt. Had some interesting things..
Ronin:
17 lbs 14 oz, fell off the charts. Height is 28.5" in the 13th percentile. Head is 17.5", 7th percentile.
Dr is not concerned about the charts. She said that from about 9 months til about 18 months, their growth slows way down. Overall, he is healthy! She is very happy with his cognitive development.
Poor baby, while we were there, I let Ronin down so he could play. He was cranky in the stroller. The Dr. and I were talking and we heard a loud thump. Ronin had bumped his head but I didn't realize how big until we saw a huge purple lump on his head. Fortunately, the pedi looked him over and he was fine. We just put some ice on it. Poor little man :(
Ryker:
19 lbs 12 oz, 10th percentile. Height is 29", 25th percentile, head is 18.5" 90th percentile.
I had expressed concern about his soft spots. She noticed that the sutures between his skull bones are open (it's between the frontal and parietal bones I believe, on the side). He also has a prominent forehead. This could mean benign hydrocephalus. This could account for his delay in development. Good news is that it will likely resolve on its own. He has already had an MRI back in June, and it did show extra fluid. So, for now, we're just going to watch it.
