I'm such a slacker!
It's been crazy the past week. Ronin got some kind of virus that's been going on. Monday, he ran 104 temp. I FREAKED out and brought him to the Doctor. He had some virus and an ear infection. They did a flu swab but fortunately, it wasn't the flu. I had to put him on antibiotics. I was a bit annoyed because they were expensive and they WERE the generic. Uggh.
So, most of the entire week, he was very clingy, and cranky. It made it very hard to take care of Ryker too. Ronin nursed quite a bit (which is good), but Ryker had to nurse too. So, I spent most of my time nursing babies. Thursday, it got over 104. Again, I freaked out, and almost took him to the ER. But, I gathered my thoughts, and decided to give him a luke warm bath and ibuprofen.. That brought it down to 101. I also put a call in to the Dr. She called back and said that there was some kind of virus that's going around, that lasts for 3-4 days. If he still had a fever by Friday, to bring him back in. Fortunately, by Friday, he was MUCH MUCH MUCH better.
Well, that brings us to today.. Ryker is now running a fever. It's 101, but I really dont' want to go through another week of this.. Tomorrow is our friend's little boy's birthday but one of us has to stay behind if he's still sick.
On some good news, the boys are learning new things! They are learning more words. Ronin said "sister" yesterday. So far he can say "Mama, dada, sister, some, that, touchdown!". Ryker says "Mama, dada, that". I'm not sure if this is considered a word, but when we say touchdown!! He raises up his arms and says "Daaaaaah!!!"
It's so funny how their personalities differ. Ronin is more of a gentle little guy. He seems like he likes to take care of things. When he pets the kitty, he says "ohhh ohhh ohh" LOL Ryker however, likes to pummel them. If he sees my cat, he crawls over there, and then body slams her! Kitty's fine, she escapes. Unfortunately Ryker is also a biter. So, word to the wise, don't put any appendages near his mouth because he will chomp on them. And they are also fighting more. Some things they have 2 of, and they will STILL fight over it.
Kalynn is continuing to do well! We had her parent/teacher conference. She is making lots of progress and the teacher said that she is doing SO well with her meds. She's a different kid! Unfortunately, she's still where she's not supposed to be, so I think she will have to repeat Kindergarten. If she were to go to first grade, I think she'd be frustrated. So, I think we'll make it official in April. I'm kind of sad, that somehow I failed her, or I didn't do enough with her.
She also got her report card on Friday. MUUCH better. Her behavior was tons better and her academic progress as well.
Anyway, I better go.
