    I'm Glad They're Mine Too

The life of a SAHM with twin boys and a 4 year old little girl.

Evening! Just sitting here feeding the boys dinner. We're having roast and they LOVE it. They are devouring it. Even Mr. Picky (Ryker)!

Tomorrow, mom is going to meet Kalynn for lunch at school. I know she'll enjoy it. Then boys have therapy. I am sure that Ronin won't need it anymore and will be dropped tomorrow. He has been getting oral motor but he's been making significant improvements, and tomorrow is his 6 month review.

It's almost Halloween! I'm done with the boys' costumes. I am pretty much done with Kalynn's. All I have to do is stuff the tail, sew it shut and then attach it to the pants. Bill suggested velcro so I think I'll do that.

I'm still continuing to lose weight. I have the "twin skin". I could wear a smaller size but my stupid twin skin gets in the way. Arrgh..Maybe one day I can get plastic surgery.

Yesterday went to my friend's little girl's bday party. It was fun! The cake was GORGEOUS. Stupid me forgot my camara. Kaia was too cute. She was walking around with her diaper bag saying "dye dye!" (bye bye) and about to head out the door LOL

Anyway, plans for tonight..clean the house. I am going to wait til later because honestly, there's no point in cleaning early since it'll be a wreck 5 seconds later.

My mommy is so mean >:( She laughed at my trauma from the dorky haunted house. PFFFTTT.

    Teehee.

Next blog post will probably be after Halloween with pics :D

Evening!! I'm at Andy and Kim's house (our friends that live down the street). Over here while they went to a Haunted house. I don't mind, they've let our dogs out to go potty numerous times while we were out of town, it's the least I can do for them.

Haha, speaking of haunted houses..I haven't been to one since I was 6 I think? Mom took us to a haunted house when I was younger. Scared the ca ca out of me. I remember parts of it too. I remember being outside and waiting, and seeing hands moving out of the graves..I remember being chased out too. And umm..I haven't been since. So lesson here? Don't take young children to haunted houses, they will be traumatized even in their 30's!

Boys continue to sleep like crap. I don't know what the deal is.

My weight is still falling off. I haven't exactly been tracking my points. I've been eating better though..watching my portions. I've lost 18 lbs so far. I have gone down 1 size so far. Well..probably more like 2 sizes. The size I was at before was a bit tight. It's coming off slow but that's the best way to do it.

Anyway, I guess I'll go for now.

    Morning!

Last night was a pretty good night. They only got up once, compared to a bunch of times the night before.

I have to say that I LOVE this weather!!! The high is supposed to be in the 50's!! I am SO sick of the hot weather and ready for a change.

I dreamt about Grandma last night. I don't remember a lot of it, but I asked her if she knew she was gone. I didn't want to use the word "dead". She said "Yes, I know I'm dead." I also asked about what goes on where ever she's at but she wouldn't tell me.

Anyway, not much else is going on. The boys have therapy today and that's it! It's going to be a quiet week I think! The past few weeks, something had been going almost every day!

    It's been awhile!

Kalynn had her first official Daisy Scout meeting on Thursday. They had a lot of fun and played some cute games. I also got her patches on her tunic. OMG, they were a huge pain in the rear. But i finally got them done.

Today, Lisa and I ran the Downhill Dash here in town. I thought I did pretty good considering that I hadn't run in 2 weeks. We ran it in 37 minutes, which is better than I expected to. I expected about 40-45 min. After that we stayed for the Fall Festival.

    And Bill got some pics:

    Thanks Molly!!! I can't believe they're one!

Today was their one year Dr's appt. Had some interesting things..
    Ronin:
17 lbs 14 oz, fell off the charts. Height is 28.5" in the 13th percentile. Head is 17.5", 7th percentile.

Dr is not concerned about the charts. She said that from about 9 months til about 18 months, their growth slows way down. Overall, he is healthy! She is very happy with his cognitive development.

Poor baby, while we were there, I let Ronin down so he could play. He was cranky in the stroller. The Dr. and I were talking and we heard a loud thump. Ronin had bumped his head but I didn't realize how big until we saw a huge purple lump on his head. Fortunately, the pedi looked him over and he was fine. We just put some ice on it. Poor little man :(

    Ryker:
    19 lbs 12 oz, 10th percentile. Height is 29", 25th percentile, head is 18.5" 90th percentile.

I had expressed concern about his soft spots. She noticed that the sutures between his skull bones are open (it's between the frontal and parietal bones I believe, on the side). He also has a prominent forehead. This could mean benign hydrocephalus. This could account for his delay in development. Good news is that it will likely resolve on its own. He has already had an MRI back in June, and it did show extra fluid. So, for now, we're just going to watch it.

Happy Birthday to Ronin and Ryker!!!! Wow, I can't believe they're a YEAR OLD!!! It sure went fast!! Well...a lot of it is a total blur. Our lives have changed, but definitely for the better! I am one lucky mama to have twins!!!!

AND I've been breastfeeding my twins for a year!!!! I never thought this day would get here. I remember thinking that I honestly didn't think I'd make it. But here we are!! And of course, I still plan on continuing.

I mentioned I think last week that I sent their pics into Good Day to see if I can get their pics and their birthday mentioned on the air. Well, THEY WERE ON TV!!! I recorded it. I'm so excited!

    Morning!!

Yesterday was the party and it was awesome!! A big huge thank you for those of you who were able to make it! And of course, thanks to mom who let us have the party there!

I got to mom's around 10ish. Lisa showed up around 11ish. Mom, Lisa and I went to Walmart to get the stuff for the party. With all 3 of us, we made pretty good time! It didn't take long at all to get everything done.

Chatted and ate for a bit. I didn't want to start opening gift til dad got there. When he got there we started opening gifts. Well, Kalynn and I opened gifts. They got a lot of awesome toys and some clothes! I think they're set for winter now! The boys are really enjoying the gifts. I swear, it looked like Toys R Us threw up in mom's livingroom LOL

After that, of course, was the cake! The cake was really awesome and yummy. The boys got their own cupcakes for a smash cake and they just went to town! They were so messy!

Tuesday is their real birthday. I can't believe I made it through the year, with TWINS at that!! I never thought it would get here.

It's been a few days since I last posted!!

Yesterday, Kalynn went with her friend Andrea to Bring a Friend Night at her dance class. It was a little rough. She particpated, then refused to participate, and then decided to participate. I looked at the prices, it's a bit too expensive and plus we'd have to pay a lot for the costumes. A little bummed, money sucks sometimes.

Today, I got a few things for the boys' bday party tomorrow. I can't believe it's tomorrow!! I'm still up because I want to get as much done tonight as I can. I plan on going to mom's house after the kids eat their breakfast. I'm a little disappointed with JcPenney's. I got the boys' pics done so that they would be ready for their bday party tomorrow. Well, I get up there and apparently, Fed Ex lost some of the CD's and ours was one of them. They won't be ready for ANOTHER 2 weeks. The guy at JCP assured us we'd be compensated. I'm upset, but I realize it's not JCP's fault.

Kalynn's been doing very well at school! She finally wrote her name! She had the hardest time writing her name. She finally got it though! Yay!! It's really neat that she knows her letters. I can tell her how to spell something and she will write it (as best as she can).

Poor Ronin's had a really bad diaper rash. So bad that his little booty was bleeding. I put some Aquaphor on it. And, unfortunately, I had to put him in disposables because the cream would ruin the CD's . So he's been in sposies for the past few days. I realize how much I LOVE my CD's. I can't wait to put him back in them. I'll probably put him back in them tomorrow. His butt looks SO much better. Poor baby :(

I also started them on whole milk this week in a sippy cup. They did pretty well with it. They still love mama's milk though. Makes sense, cow's milk are for baby cows. But anyhoo, they'll get sippies of milk during the day too.

OK, I gotta run. Gotta finish folding diapers and packing the bags.

    Morning!

I am tired!! The boys (mainly Ronin) slept like ca ca. I think it's because he's learning a new skill.

Went to my meeting last night. It was nice seeing everyone. I hadn't gone for the past few weeks because the boys had been sick, thanks to Kindergarten. I was talking to a friend and one of the other moms said "Is Ronin walking?" I said "umm..no?" She said that he had JUST took 3 steps!!! He had been taking one step here and there, but he's beginning to take more steps!! Holy crap! I wonder how long it's going to take him to be full on walking?

    Crying baby, gotta jet.

Morning!! The past couple of nights have been pretty good. They've only woke up once! Yay!

Yesterday was ok. OT canceled because she wasn't feeling well. Kalynn got home from school and didn't get a smilie face : ( Her and her friend were caught playing in the bathroom. I can only imagine what they were doing in there. Uggh.

Then, we went swimming over at Andy and Kim's house. Little cold but still had fun.

Man, getting ready for Girl Scouts is taking a long time!! I'm sure the reason is because we're a brand new troop and the leaders have to start from scratch. We will have our parent meeting either next Fri or Sun. I need to get K's uniform too. There's a GS office in DeSoto, so that will be easy!

Anyway, tonight is my meeting. Yay. I didn't go the week before since the boys were sick. Fortunately, they weren't sick for very long, just a few days.

    Anyway, I guess that's it!
