    I'm Glad They're Mine Too

The life of a SAHM with twin boys and a 4 year old little girl.

We had a really good Thanksgiving! We went to my Aunt LInda's house first. My family wanted to hold the babies so I was able to eat! It was nice. They took such good care of my boys.

After that, we went to my mom's house and had more to eat. I was stuffed.

This week, Bill had to go back to work. So far it hasn't been too bad. The boys aren't very fussy during the day. But at night, that's a different story. Ronin starts crying around 8pm (and he's starting to fuss as I type this). He cries off and on for several hours. I wonder if it's colic. He will usually settle down around midnight or so. They both wake up about 2x's a night, which isn't too bad.

Kalynn continues to have difficulties. During the day actually hasn't been too bad. It's nap times and bedtimes that give us the most trouble. She absolutely REFUSES to go to sleep. Last night, she was up til close to 1 am.

I'm trying to figure out what I want them to wear. I want to get Christmas pics done with all 3 kids, and I'd like them to be somewhat coordinating. Decisions, decisions!

Finally have a few free minutes.

OK, so I lied..No pics. I'm sure I'll get some on Thanksgiving!

So the past couple of weeks have been crazy. Some days I feel like I want to go insane, but other days aren't too bad. This week, Bill has the day off, so I'm happy about that.

Had a rough few days though, the boys have had a bit of a cold. With RSV and preemies, I didn't want to mess around so I took the boys in. They have ear infections :( But other than that they're doing well! Ryker is 9 lbs 15 oz and Ronin is 8 lbs 6 oz! They are definitely chunking up.

Breastfeeding continues to go well with Ryker and better with Ronin. We don't use that many bottles with Ryker but Ronin mostly gets a bottle. I think I've gotten pretty good at nursing in public (discreet of course) too.

I've also discovered the world of babywearing. I have 2 slings that the boys like. I also found that Ronin likes the Mei Tai,which is another type of carrier.

    Anyway, that's it!

    What a day!!

It was a crazy morning. Both boys were fussy. Then Kalynn decides that she would mop the floor (Bill had spilled something and forgot to empty out the bucket). So, a part of the kitchen floor was sopping wet. Both boys were hungry and I couldn't figure out how to feed them at the same time.

So between fussy babies and Kalynn being defiant, it was a LONG day. I am exhausted to say the least. Our house is in shambles again (sorry mom, after all that work you did!) All I did today was hold, feed, and change babies, and discipline Kalynn. And of course, the boys wanted to eat at separate times.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be better. I guess we'll see. Good thing is that Kalynn has speech class tomorrow.

This week was pretty good, and it went by so fast!! Mom came over Wed, Thurs and Friday to help me out. It was nice to have help so it was less stressful. We got the nursery set up (finally!). Mom helped Kalynn (or was it the other way around?) clean her room , and cleaned the kitchen. I was even able to take a nap during the day!! I was sad that Friday was the last day. Next week, I'm on my own. We'll see if I keep sane by the time Bill gets home from work.

Wed, we took the boys to the pediatrician. They are doing very well and getting chunked up! Ronin is 6 lbs 15 oz and Ryker is 7 lbs 15 oz. Pediatrican was very happy. And I was happy that Ronin has been nursing, kinda like "In your face pediatrican lady!!" I haven't had to use very many supplements of formula either. Maybe a few times a week. It's mostly been mama's milk!

BF'ing continues to go well! We're getting more nursings in than bottles. I think my plan is to nurse one and then Bill can give the other one a bottle. I think right now it's just hard to tandem nurse since Ronin still is having a bit of trouble latching on still. Even though nursing preemie twins is a completely different experience, I'm still glad that I have 17 months of BF'ing Kalynn under my belt! It's definitely helped in some areas.

OT here: I found a movie that I love! It's VH1's TotallyAwesome! OMG, it was TOO funny!! I like to watch it when I'm nursing and pumping in the middle of the night when it's all infomercials!

Next few days I will get more pictures!

Past few nights have been pretty rough..Either one of the boys or both the boys have been fussy. They've been eating about every hour too, so it makes for a long night.

I am not looking forward to when Bill goes back to work. How am I going to handle all three kids? How am I going to handle feeding both, if both are cranky? Just really nervous. Fortunately, mom will be here Wed, Thursd and Friday. So that will be a big help.

I got my first rude comment yesterday..We went to Target to get a few things. Bill was putting the babies in their stroller. This lady on her cell phone asks us "Are those twins?" Of course, we said yes. She said "Uggh, no thanks. I'll pass" with a look of disdain. Bill and I said to her "Wow, that was quite rude!" I don't think she heard us since she was yapping on her cell phone. Why in the world do people say crap like that? What if I said "Is that your face? Uggh, no thanks" Geez, people need to get a clue.

Breastfeeding is going better. Ronin is getting so much better at nursing! And today, I even nursed in public! (*gasp*!!!) Discretely of course. I'm hoping to be able to nurse and not have to use bottles anymore. I think we'll get there eventually.

    Honeymoon period over?

I think the sleeping all day is over. Ronin seems to be high needs. He wants to be held a lot, and he's been Mr. Fussy McFussy Pants at night. He'd cry for a couple of hours. It's hard because I want to sleep before the next feeding, but that didn't happen. I have a sling that I'm going to use during the day, maybe that will help.

Ryker seems to be more easy going. He only cries when he's hungry. Both boys, I have found, love the swing. So, we need to get more batteries. That's A LOT of batteries.

Last night was actually pretty good! Ronin wasn't very fussy at all, so I was able to get some sleep.

Trick or treating went well. Kalynn had a blast! Speech, she had a Halloween party, and got lots of treats. Then, Bill took Kalynn to downtown to do more TOT'ing. Then, we went around the neighborhood with our friend down the street and did more TOT'ing! She got TONS of candy. She can't eat it all, so I of course, had to help her eat it Hehee. Especially the chocolate.

    How about some pictures?

And Kalynn being a goof ball. This was her idea

    And the boys!
